Haridwar (1)

On 29th afternoon, motored down to Haridwar.  140 KMs, 3 hours drive.  Well laid out road, smooth flow.  Throughout travel, drizzling.  Reached Nagar Ji residence around 5 in the evening.

Nagar Ji hospitality is beyond words.  

Chill and continuous drizzle confined us to stay indoors for two full days, 30th and 31st.  On 31st afternoon, Sun appeared and had sunbath.

At late evening, been to bahubeti’s cousins’ place. 

Had typical Haridwari vegetarian bites.  

1st February.  Got up at 6 in the morning.  By e-Rick to Ganges, with Nagar Ji and Usha.  Ganga Snanam.  My 70th Janma Nakshtra Day. 

By reciting Rudram 11 times, Nagar Ji poured Ganga Jal on my head while I was standing knee deep in the sacred river Ganges.

Did abishek to Shiv & Nandi Dev with Ganga Jal. 

Ganga Jal argyam to Surya Bagwan.

இறைவனின் அருள் .. பெற்றோர்களின் ஆசி .. பூர்வஜென்ம புண்ணியம் .. இந்த ஜென்மாவில் எழுபதாவது ஜென்ம நக்ஷ்த்திர தினத்தில் புனித கங்கை நதி ஸ்னானம், அதுவும் ஹரித்வாரில் .. மேலும் ஈசனுக்கு என் கையால் கங்கை ஜலத்தால் அபிஷேகம் .. எல்லாம் அவன் செயல்
