From Agra to Delhi. On Yamuna Expressway. A 6-lane well laid wide motorway. Reached New Delhi within 4 hours. By 9pm. Checked in to a 4-Star Best Western Darbar at Paharganj. Two nights stay. For Delhi sightseeing.

On sound sleep, got up at 7. Self coffee at room itself. Then bath. To basement restaurant at 8:30, English Breakfast. Bread Butter Honey Croissant with Orange Juice. ( our Idli Vada Pongal Dosa missing )
RAJ GHAT
To pay homage and respects to our Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi Ji, visited Raj Ghat. He was cremated here. The cenotaph built in his memory is a simple black marble platform surrounded by a marble fence. The platform is open to the sky. Lying on the banks of the Yamuna river, Rajghat is fringed by lush well-manicured lawns that are dotted with trees. The words 'He Ram', which was the last thing Gandhiji said, have been inscribed on the memorial. An eternal flame stands adjacent to it.
We have to remove our footwear before paying homage to the Father of Nation. A ceremony is being held every Friday. There are two museums nearby, which are dedicated to Gandhi Ji.
Various trees that dot the landscape have been planted by dignitaries like Queen Elizabeth II, and bear their names on a plaque.
