Big Ben, Parliament & Westminster Abbey
On coming out from the Underground Westminster station, diagonally opposite on left side stands the majestic Big Ben.
Just few steps further, saw the Thames and London Eye. ( this picture is courtesy of GOOGLE EARTH)

BIG BEN
A Clock Tower at the Northern end of the Parliament House. The Clock is famous for its accuracy and its massive bell that weighs 15 tons.
The hands of the clock are 9 and 14 feet long respectively, and the clock tower rises about 320 feet.
It chimes every hour, and smaller bells around it chime every 15 minutes to mark each quarter hour.

PARLIAMENT
Located on the left bank of Thames River in the borough of Westminster, The Palace of Westminster is the meeting place of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It is commonly called the Houses of Parliament after the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the two legislative chambers which occupy the building that has a floor area of 1,210,680 sq ft.
Since the quota of Passes for the Day is over, we could not go inside Parliament. Golden chances missed.
