Shibuya Crossing.

Like Time Square in New York City.

It is the world’s busiest pedestrian crossing.  This intersection is frequently recognized as "the busiest pedestrian intersection in the world".

According to flow measurement survey, the number of pedestrians crossing the intersection was as much as 3,000 per green light (every 2 minutes).  260,000 pedestrians per day on week days, and 390,000 pedestrians on non-working days.  And 500,000 people on the busiest days & 1.5 million pedestrians per week.

The crossing's surrounding areas are home to a number of stores that drive Japan's fashion, food and music trends

Surrounded by towering neon-lit buildings, the area offers completely different impressions during the day and night and it’s a nexus of pop culture, food and entertainment.

The Shibuya Crossing truly embodies the energy of Tokyo. It’s a vibrant yet orderly scene that symbolizes Japan's urban culture. Featured in numerous movies and TV shows, it gained global fame.

Just steps away from Shibuya Crossing is the famous Hachiko Statue, a tribute to the loyal dog who waited for his owner at Shibuya Station every day, even after his owner passed away. This statue is a popular meeting spot and a significant part of Shibuya’s cultural history.

We - my, my wife, son & dinla -  had a great experience to watch and participate in walking across with many other people from different countries.
