Tokyo Tower - Japan Radio Tower - is a communications & observation tower.
Standing 1092 feet in Central Tokyo, it is a a prominent landmark as well a major tourist destination.
Transmission antennae are used for radio & television broadcasting and also broadcast signals for media outlets.
A 4-story building directly under the tower houses museums restaurants and shops.
Departing from there, visitors can visit two observation decks. The two-story Main Deck is at 490 ft while the smaller Top Deck at 819 ft.
It is the world's tallest self-supported steel tower and taller than its model, the Eiffel Tower.
