KOSHASRINI: காலாராம் மந்திர், கபிலேஸ்வர் மந்திர் .. KalaRam Mandir, Kapaleshwar Mandir

நாசிக்நகரில் இது எங்களுடைய நான்காவது 'ஆலய தரிசனம்'. சிவ சிவ சிவ, ராம ராம ராம.

This is our Fourth 'Temple Visit' in Nasik City. Siva Siva Siva, Rama, Rama, Rama.

முதலில் காலாராம் மந்திர். Kala Ram Mandir:

பஞ்சவடியில் தவம் செய்யும் மகரிஷிகள் வனத்தில் தவம் செய்யவிடாமல் துன்புறுத்தும் ராக்ஷஸர்களை துரத்தும்படி ஸ்ரீ இராமரை வேண்டிக்கொண்டதால், யாராலும் அறியப்படாத தன்னுடைய வேறு ஸ்வரூபத்தை ஸ்ரீ இராமர் எடுத்து ராக்ஷஸர்களை தோற்கடித்து துரத்திவிடுகிறார். அந்த ஸ்வரூபம் தான் " காலா ரூப் " ( கருப்பு ரூபம் ) என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. பஞ்சவடியில் இராமபிரானும் சீதாப்பிராட்டியும் வசித்த குடில் இருந்த அதே இடத்தில்தான் இந்த ஆலயம் கட்டப்படுள்ளது என்று நம்பப்படுகிறது.

The story behind the name of the temple is that the sages of Panchvati pleaded with Rama to get rid of the Rakshasas or demons who occupied the region. Rama then took on His ‘Kala Roop’, or invoked His dark side, to slay and defeat them. The temple is built right where Rama is believed to have set up His hut with Sita and Lakshman.

கோவில் முழுவதும், கர்ப்பகிரஹம் கோபுரம் உள்பட, கருப்பு கற்களால் கட்டப்பட்டு மிக பிரமாண்டமாக காட்சியளிக்கிறது. ஸ்ரீராமர் சீதா லக்ஷ்மணன் ஹனுமான் சிலைகளும் கருப்புமார்பிளில் ப்ரதிஷ்டைப்பட்டுள்ளது. கோவில் வளாகம் மிக மிக தூய்மையாக உள்ளது. கோவிலின் உள்ளேயும், கோவிலை சுற்றிவரும்போதும் ஆழ்மனதில் ஆத்மார்த்த ஆனந்தம் ஏற்படுகிறது. ஆனந்தம் தரும் அன்பு அலைகளால் ஆன்மா தூய்மை பெறுகிறது.

Entire Temple, including sanctum sanctorum & TempleTower, are built with black stones. It looks majestic. Even the idols of SriRam Seetha Lakshman Hanuman are in black marbles. The Temple precinct is well maintained. It is very clean. You can feel happiness inside the Temple or even if you just walk around the Temple.

அடுத்தது கபிலேஸ்வர் மந்திர். Kapaleshwar Mandir:

ஐந்து தலைகளுடைய ப்ரம்மாவின் அகம்பாவத்தை ஒழிக்க சிவபெருமான் ஒரு தலையை கிள்ளி எறிந்தார் என்றும், அதனால் அவருக்கு ப்ரம்மஹத்தி தோஷம் ஏற்பட்டதாகவும் நாம் புராணங்களில் படித்திருக்கிறோம். கோபத்தால் தான் செய்த தவற்றை உணர்ந்து, அந்த ப்ரம்மஹத்தி தோஷத்தை நிவர்த்திசெய்ய பலமுயற்சிகள் எடுத்தும் பலனளிக்காமல் போகவே, நந்தியம் பெருமான் ஒரு யோசனை வழங்கினார். பஞ்சவடியில் ராம்குண்ட் அருகில் ஓடும் புனிதமிக்க கோதாவரி நதியில் மூழ்கி எழுந்தால் ப்ரம்மஹத்தி தோஷம் நீங்கும் என்று அறிவுரைத்தார். நந்திதேவர் அறிவுரைப்படி சிவபெருமான் கோதாவரியில் ஸ்னானம் செய்து ப்ரம்மஹத்தி தோஷத்தை நிவர்த்தி செய்துகொண்டார். இந்த இடத்தில் நந்திதேவரை சிவபெருமான் குருவாக ஏற்றுக்கொண்டதால் இங்கு எழுந்துள்ள சிவலிங்கத்திற்கு முன் நந்தியம் பெருமான் இல்லை.

Lord Shiva is said to have gotten annoyed with Brahma who had said something inauspicious. In retaliation, Shiva got wild and cut off one of the heads of Brahma thereby committing the sin of "Brahma Hatya". This is what we have read in Puranas. Shiva realized His mistake and tried to do all that He could to rid Himself of this sin but to no avail. Nandi Devar then suggested to Shiva to take a dip in the Godavari River near Ramkund in Panchvati. Shiva was indeed absolved of all His sins after this. At this Ttemple, Shiva accepted Nandi as His Guru and hence, Nandi now having a stature higher than Shiva, couldn’t be placed opposite to Linga.

ராம்குண்ட் எதிரே 50 படிகள் ஏறிப்போனோம். அங்கே ஒரு சிவாலயம் இருக்கிறது. அதுதான் கபிலேஸ்வர் மந்திர். ஏன் 'கபிலேஸ்வர்' என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறார்? யாருக்கும் விவரிக்க தெரியவில்லை. ஆலயத்திலும் குறிப்புகள் எதுவும் இல்லை. லிங்கமும் சுயம்புவாக தோன்றியதாக எனக்கு தெரியவில்லை. பேஷ்வா மன்னர்களால் புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என்று அங்கு ஒரு குறிப்பு உள்ளது.

Just opposite to Ramkund, we climbed 50 steps. There is a Shiva Temple. That is Kapileswar Mandir. Why being named as Kapileswar? None can explain. Not even any inscription in Temple. The Lingam also not "suyambu". We can easily know by looking at it. There is a Note stating that this Temple was renovated by Peshwas.

ஆலயத்தை சுற்றி வரும்போது திடிரென்று கருப்புநிற பசுமாடு ஒன்று அங்குள்ள ஆலமரத்தின் கீழேயுள்ள கொட்டகையிலேர்ந்து வெளிவந்தது. அதனால் சற்று பின்வாங்கி ஆலமரத்தின் அருகில் சென்றேன். அப்போ அந்த ஆலமரத்தின் அடியில் மிகச்சிறிய கருங்கல்லால் ஆன ஒரு லிங்கத்தை பார்த்தேன். நாம் எல்லாஇடங்களிலும் பார்க்கும் சிவலிங்கம் போல் அது இல்லை. பொதுவாக நாம் பார்க்கும் லிங்கத்தின் மேல்பாகம் மட்டும் வட்டவடிவமான ஒரு பாறங்கல்லின் நடுவில் அமைந்துள்ளது. மாட்டுக்கொட்டகையில் இருந்த ஒரு மூதாட்டியிடம் விசாரித்தபோது, இது சுயம்புவாக தோன்றியதாக என்று கூறினார். ஆதிகாலத்திலேர்ந்து இது இங்கேதான் இருக்கிறது என்றும் கூறினார். அருகிலிருக்கும் கருவறை பேஷ்வா மன்னர்களால் கட்டப்பட்டது என்றும் கூறினார்.

அதை தொட்டு வணங்கியபோது ஏற்பட்ட உணர்ச்சிகளை வார்த்தைகளால் விவரிக்க முடியாது. சிவத்தையே நேரில் கொண்டுவருவது போல் சிவஜோதியாய் ஒளிர்கிறது. சிவமயம், சிவ ஒளி, சிவ நாமம், சிவ மந்திரம், சிவ அதிர்வு, சிவ தரிசனம், எல்லாம் சிவமே. அனைத்தும் சிவமே.

While circumambulation unexpectedly a black cow emerged from a shed under a banyan tree. I stepped back and went near the tree. To my astonishment, there I saw a ShivLing underneath the tree. Just a top portion of the Linga, that too very small, is in the centre of a round shaped stone that was immersed in the soil. When I enquired about this Linga with an old woman who was sitting in the cowshed, she explained that this ShivLing is 'suyambu' and it is in the same place from the time immemorial. The sanctum sanctorum was built by Peshwas and a ShivLing was established there.
