By the ultimate mode of continental travel:

the high-speed rail.

Our chariot is the TGV Lyria, the sleek, double-decker marvel that effortlessly connects France and Switzerland.

4-Hour Flash (320 km/h Dash) Across Europe.

In just over four hours, this Train whisked us from the bustling Paris Gare de Lyon directly to the central Zurich Hauptbahnhof (HB).

Not only we saved time, we transformed the journey into an experience.  Flying across the map with a cup of coffee and a perfect view.

Stops at Dijon, Belfort-Montbéliard TGV, Mulhouse, and Basel along the way.

One of the most captivating parts of the journey is watching the Great Scenery Shift - French canvas change into the Swiss landscape. For the first two hours, the world was a fast-moving watercolor of golden fields and dark forests as we zipped across the Ligne à Grande Vitesse (LGV).

But as we approached Basel, the architecture became sharper, the colors more vivid, and the towns - like Dijon gained that unmistakable, tidy Swiss-German precision.

It's a subtle but beautiful shift from the grand scale of France to the compact efficiency of Switzerland.

Somewhere in between Paris Zurich train halts at a station .. Google Earth says, it’s STRAUSBOURG
