After having coffee and bites at a Restaurant in the Louvre Museum, took train from Louvre station to Etoile station ..
from there 4-minutes walk to Arc de Triomphe
Been to the monumental Arc de Triomphe, a towering symbol of French history and military pride. Commissioned by Emperor Napoleon I in 1806, after his great triumph at the Battle of Austerlitz, the Arc was intended to celebrate the French armies. The Arc de Triomphe stands approximately 164 feet high and 148 feet wide, making it a truly colossal example of Neoclassical architecture. The scale of this structure is simply stunning. It stands as a timeless marker of national pride. Though Napoleon never saw its completion, its purpose remains: a majestic tribute to France's military glory.
Beneath the arch itself lies the profoundly moving Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It serves as a poignant memorial to the unidentified French soldiers who fell in World War I.
Since 1923, an Eternal Flame has burned brightly here, and its presence is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made for France.
To reach the terrace, for an unforgettable 360-degree panoramic view, one has to climb 284 steps of the spiraling staircase. I chose to drop the climbing. I was informed that from the terrace, one can have a spectacular vantage point for all of Paris's landmarks.
