A Day Trip to Chocolate Heaven:

Lindt Home of Chocolate in Kilchberg!

What's a trip to Switzerland without immersing yourself in the world of exceptional chocolate?

We embarked on a pilgrimage that every chocolate lover dreams of: a visit to the magnificent Lindt Home of Chocolate Museum in Kilchberg, Zurich.

Started our Day with a morning brisk walk from our stay in Oerlikon to the Rail Station ..

took train to Kilchberg ZH via Zurich Main Station

The Scenic Route to Sweetness

A refreshing scenic 15-minutes walk from Kilchberg ZH station to Lindt Chocolate Museum.  The crisp autumn air and picturesque surroundings were the perfect preamble to the day's main attraction. It's always a joy to slow down and enjoy the journey, especially when the destination promises such a delightful reward!

An Interactive World of Cocoa

Stepping inside the Lindt Home of Chocolate is like entering a cocoa-fueled fantasy. The museum is incredibly interactive and engaging, took us on a journey through the history of chocolate, from its ancient origins to modern production.

Learning about the art and science behind those smooth, melting squares was fascinating - it truly made us  appreciate the craft!

The undisputed star of the show, though, is the breathtaking, nine-meter-tall Chocolate Fountain

Watching the liquid gold cascade down this spectacular sculpture is pure magic and an absolute must-see moment.

A Feast for the Senses

And, of course, the best part of any chocolate museum: the tasting! We got to sample a brilliant array of Lindt's finest, from classic milk to rich dark and everything in between.

We took full advantage of the opportunity to taste all the varieties - it's educational research, after all!

Before leaving, we made sure to visit what is touted as the biggest Lindt Chocolate Shop in the world. It’s a treasure trove of treats, perfect for grabbing some souvenirs as well stocking up for the journey home!

Outside Museum

Lakeside Relaxation

With our soul and stomach satisfied with chocolate, we headed to the nearby shores of Lake Zurich. The change of pace was lovely. We enjoyed the serene scenery of the lake, watched the boats, and took a few well-deserved selfies to capture the moment of post-chocolate bliss.

Back to Oerlikon by a relaxing Tram ride. (Route:10)

TRAM BAY NEAR ZURICH TRAIN STATION

From Oerlikon Tram Stop, walk to a South Indian Restaurant MASAL.DOSA for dinner.  Then walk to our Stay.

A truly delightful day!

It was a perfect day blend of exploration, education, and pure, decadent enjoyment.
