The Final Leg: Flying Home From Milan
As the sun rose over Milan on October 16, 2025, the final chapter of a breathtaking journey through Paris, Zurich, Munich and Venice began.
Bye Bye ITALY (Milan & Venice)
Flying back Bangalore from Milan with layover at DUBAI
The Malpensa Express: A Swift Farewell
The journey to the airport started at Milan Porta Garibaldi, a station that perfectly blends with our Hotel AÇ Milano by Marriott. Boarding the Malpensa Express, the bright red-and-white sleekness of the Trenord train offered an stress-free exit from the city. Gliding through the Lombardy countryside, the train provided a smooth, quiet 40-minute ride directly to Terminal 2.

The Giant of the Skies: Airbus A380-800
At Malpensa Airport, the sight of the Airbus A380-800 - the world’s largest passenger airliner - was nothing short of majestic. This double-decker behemoth is often called a "hotel in the sky." Entering the A380 is like stepping into another world. The cabin is incredibly quiet, even during takeoff. Whether we were enjoying the "ice" entertainment system with thousands of movies or simply marvelling at the sheer scale of the wings, the 6-hour flight to Dubai felt like a breeze.
The advanced mood lighting shifted subtly to prepare your body for the Middle Eastern time zone, making the flight feel less like travel and more like a premium lounge experience.

5 Hours in Dubai: The World’s Crossroads
Landing at Dubai International (DXB) for a 5-hour layover, we stepped into one of the most vibrant hubs on the planet. Even without leaving the terminal, the airport is a destination in itself.
The sprawling Dubai Duty Free offered a chance to pick up some last-minute luxury items or gold, a signature of the city. From authentic Arabic coffee and dates to gourmet international cuisines, the layover was a final treat for the palate.

The Home Stretch: Boeing to Bangalore
For the final leg, the transition to the Boeing aircraft (likely the 777-300ER) signaled the approach of home. This "workhorse of the skies" offered a faster, more agile feel compared to the A380. As the flight crossed the Arabian Sea, the lights of Bangalore finally appeared below—a warm welcome back to the Garden City.
