॥ नवग्रहस्तोत्र ॥ ..... ॥ நவக்³ரஹஸ்தோத்ர ॥

आदित्याय च सोमाय मङ्गलाय बुधाय च । गुरु शुक्र शनिभ्यश्च राहवे केतवे नमः ॥

“ஓம் ஆதித்யாயச சோமாய மங்களாய புதாயச குரு சுக்ர சனிப்யச்ச ராகவே கேதவே நமஹ "

ஓம் நவகிரக பரபிரம்மனே நமஹ:

சூரியனை சந்திரனை செவ்வாயை புதனை குருவை சுக்கிரனை சனியை ராகுவை கேதுவை – கால ரூபிகளான நவக்ரக தேவதைகள் எல்லோரையும் என் தலை தாழ்த்தி வணங்குகிறேன்.

सूर्य .. Sun

जपाकुसुमसङ्काशं काश्यपेयं महद्युतिम् ।
तमोऽरिं सर्वपापघ्नं प्रणतोऽस्मि दिवाकरम् ॥ १॥
ஜபாகுஸுமஸங்காஶம் காஶ்யபேயம் மஹத்³யுதிம் ।
தமோऽரிம் ஸர்வபாபக்⁴னம் ப்ரணதோऽஸ்மி தி³வாகரம் ॥ 1॥
I pray to the Sun, the day-maker, destroyer of all sins, the enemy of darkness, of great brilliance, the descendent of KAshyapa, the one who shines like the japA flower.

चन्द्रं .. Moon

दधिशङ्खतुषाराभं क्षीरोदार्णवसम्भवम् ।
नमामि शशिनं सोमं शम्भोर्मुकुटभूषणम् ॥ २॥
த³தி⁴ஶங்க²துஷாராப⁴ம் க்ஷீரோதா³ர்ணவஸம்ப⁴வம் ।
நமாமி ஶஶினம் ஸோமம் ஶம்போ⁴ர்முகுடபூ⁴ஷணம் ॥ 2॥
I pray to the Moon who shines coolly like curds or a white shell, who arose from the ocean of milk, who has a hare on him, Soma, who is the ornament of Shiva's hair.

कुज .. Mars

धरणीगर्भसम्भूतं विद्युत्कान्तिसमप्रभम् ।
कुमारं शक्तिहस्तं च मङ्गलं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ३॥
த⁴ரணீக³ர்ப⁴ஸம்பூ⁴தம் வித்³யுத்காந்திஸமப்ரப⁴ம் ।
குமாரம் ஶக்திஹஸ்தம் ச மங்க³லம் ப்ரணமாம்யஹம் ॥ 3॥
I pray to Mars, born of Earth, who shines with the same brilliance as lightning, the young man who carries a spear.

बुध .. Mercury

प्रियङ्गुकलिकाश्यामं रूपेणाप्रतिमं बुधम् ।
सौम्यं सौम्यगुणोपेतं तं बुधं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ४॥
ப்ரியங்கு³கலிகாஶ்யாமம் ரூபேணாப்ரதிமம் பு³த⁴ம் ।
ஸௌம்யம் ஸௌம்யகு³ணோபேதம் தம் பு³த⁴ம் ப்ரணமாம்யஹம் ॥ 4॥
I pray to Mercury, dark like the bud of millet, of unequalled beauty, gentle and agreeable.

गुरु .. Jupiter

देवानां च ऋषीणां च गुरुं काञ्चनसंनिभम् ।
बुद्धिभूतं त्रिलोकेशं तं नमामि बृहस्पतिम् ॥ ५॥
தே³வாநாம் ச ருʼஷீணாம் ச கு³ரும் காஞ்சனஸம்னிப⁴ம் ।
பு³த்³தி⁴பூ⁴தம் த்ரிலோகேஶம் தம் நமாமி ப்³ருʼஹஸ்பதிம் ॥ 5॥
I pray to Jupiter, the teacher of gods and rishis, intellect incarnate, lord of the three worlds.

शुक्र .. Venus

हिमकुन्दमृणालाभं दैत्यानां परमं गुरुम् ।
सर्वशास्त्रप्रवक्तारं भार्गवं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ६॥
ஹிமகுந்த³ம்ருʼணாலாப⁴ம் தை³த்யாநாம் பரமம் கு³ரும் ।
ஸர்வஶாஸ்த்ரப்ரவக்தாரம் பா⁴ர்க³வம் ப்ரணமாம்யஹம் ॥ 6॥
I pray to Venus, the utimate preceptor of demons, promulgator of all learning, he who shines like the fiber of snow-white jasmine.

शनि .. Saturn

नीलाञ्जनसमाभासं रविपुत्रं यमाग्रजम् ।
छायामार्तण्डसम्भूतं तं नमामि शनैश्चरम् ॥ ७॥
நீலாஞ்ஜனஸமாபா⁴ஸம் ரவிபுத்ரம் யமாக்³ரஜம் ।
சா²யாமார்தண்ட³ஸம்பூ⁴தம் தம் நமாமி ஶனைஶ்சரம் ॥ 7॥
I pray to Saturn, the slow moving, born of Shade and Sun, the elder brother of Yama, the offspring of Sun, he who has the appearance of black collyrium.

राहु .. Rahu

अर्धकायं महावीर्यं चन्द्रादित्यविमर्दनम् ।
सिंहिकागर्भसम्भूतं तं राहुं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ८॥
அர்த⁴காயம் மஹாவீர்யம் சந்த்³ராதி³த்யவிமர்த³னம் ।
ஸிம்ஹிகாக³ர்ப⁴ஸம்பூ⁴தம் தம் ராஹும் ப்ரணமாம்யஹம் ॥ 8॥
I pray to Rahu, having half a body, of great bravery, the eclipser of the Moon and the Sun, born of SimhikA.

केतु .. Ketu

पलाशपुष्पसङ्काशं तारकाग्रहमस्तकम् ।
रौद्रं रौद्रात्मकं घोरं तं केतुं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ९॥
பலாஶபுஷ்பஸங்காஶம் தாரகாக்³ரஹமஸ்தகம் ।
ரௌத்³ரம் ரௌத்³ராத்மகம் கோ⁴ரம் தம் கேதும் ப்ரணமாம்யஹம் ॥ 9॥
I pray to Ketu, who has the appearance of PalAsha flower, the head of stars and planets, fierce and terrifying.


इति व्यासमुखोद्गीतं यः पठेत्सुसमाहितः ।
दिवा वा यदि वा रात्रौ विघ्नशान्तिर्भविष्यति ॥ १०॥
இதி வ்யாஸமுகோ²த்³கீ³தம் ய: படே²த்ஸுஸமாஹித: ।
தி³வா வா யதி³ வா ராத்ரௌ விக்⁴னஶாந்திர்ப⁴விஷ்யதி ॥ 10॥
Those who read the song sung by VyAsa, will be joyous, sovereign and powerful, and will succeed in appeasing obstacles, occurring by day or by night.

नरनारीनृपाणां च भवेद्दुःस्वप्ननाशनम् ।
ऐश्वर्यमतुलं तेषामारोग्यं पुष्टिवर्धनम् ॥
நரனாரீன்ருʼபாணாம் ச ப⁴வேத்³து:³ஸ்வப்னனாஶனம் ।
ஐஶ்வர்யமதுலம் தேஷாமாரோக்³யம் புஷ்டிவர்த⁴னம் ॥
Bad dreams of men, women and kings alike will be destroyed and they will be endowed with unparalleled riches, good health and enhancing nourishment.

ग्रहनक्षत्रजाः पीडास्तस्कराग्निसमुद्भवाः ।
ताः सर्वाः प्रशमं यान्ति व्यासो ब्रूते न संशयः ॥
க்³ரஹனக்ஷத்ரஜா: பீடா³ஸ்தஸ்கராக்³னிஸமுத்³ப⁴வா: ।
தா: ஸர்வா: ப்ரஶமம் யாந்தி வ்யாஸோ ப்³ரூதே ந ஸம்ஶய: ॥
All the pain, devastation caused by fire, planets and stars will be of the past, so spoke VyAsa, emphatically.

॥ इति श्रीव्यासविरचितं नवग्रहस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम् ॥
॥ இதி ஶ்ரீவ்யாஸவிரசிதம் நவக்³ரஹஸ்தோத்ரம் ஸம்பூர்ணம் ॥
